California:Fat And Short People's History Compulsory In Schools/N.Y.To Allow Polygamy/Polyandry?

Since Barry Goldwater's prescription that America would better of if the Eastern Seaboard was sawn off and let drift out to sea has not been enacted, and the sage advice of the conservative part of Southern California that they be allowed to be split off from the rest of the state has also not (yet) been enacted, the nation is stuck with these liberal bastions.

New York state has just passed a bill, with the assistance of the Republican state senate, which shows how being in proximity with New York City has a strange effect on a traditional mindset, allowing same sex marriage. California, thwarted, perhaps for the moment, in going down that path has decided they will not be left out of the social "progressive' action by having Governor Brown (he of the fascinating Hippy past) sign in to law a bill...well here it is:
quote:

"New state law requires LGBT history in textbooks

Public schools in California will be required to teach students about the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans starting Jan. 1 after Gov. Jerry Brown on Thursday signed a controversial bill to add the topic to the social sciences curriculum.

Textbooks now must include information on the role of LGBT Americans, as well as Americans with disabilities"

Well, lets be totally fair-if in the case of same sex marriage, of the contribution of GLB and disabled people to history must be made compulsory, then there is no possible reason to exclude, or rather not to expand, these categories to include others who are excluded from the history books and from the marriage ceremony.

In the case of marriage if the state  must "stay out of the bedroom," must not interfere with the individual's right of choice, where no harm is done to someone else or a minor, then it is pure wilful prejudice on the part of the state to forbid both polygamy and polyandry.

If a couple, lets take an extreme example, can prove they can have no children and find a third person, (of either sex, as to exclude two males and one female or vice-versa-would be prejudice exemplified) then even the argument that children might be affected goes out the window. Certainly why should three LGB's not be married as no children would eventuate, presumably, from that trio or even quartet.

Further to forbid polygamy is an extreme example of state prejudice against those of the Muslim faith, who for centuries have practised this lawful marriage situation with apparently little, if any, harm to those involved in their lands of origin.

Our freinds in California have been short-sighted, literally, with their bill making LGB/disabled heroes stories available in the classroom. They are blatantly prejudiced against little people, for example when will the story of the little people's contribution to the movie industry e.g the Wizard of Oz or Willy Wonka (the Ooompa Loompa's) be put into school textbooks?

What about fat people-surely the coming majority of Americans-is their story not to be told by compulsion? Will Chris Christie and William Howard Taft's exploits be a footnote in schoolbooks? Again, will Oliver Hardy and Fatty Arbuckle's ground breaking (perhaps literally as well) movie exploits go unremarked upon?

New York and California have fallen woefully short of their liberal progressive standards-hopefully another term for President Obama, and the progressive culture he has brought with him into the White House, can assist those two and like minded states to ensure all forms of traditional American culture is swept away.
