Washington Post Chris Cillizza Deaf To Ted Cruz "I Owe My Senate Seat To Sarah Palin" As He Describes Her As Mere "Entertainer"

Here is The Washington Post's "The Fix" political journalist Chris Cillizza on Sarah Palin's address to CPAC 2013;

Cillizza gets his snide chops in (this the WashPost remember) with comments about Palin's speech "having elements of a late night comedy routine". Presumably he was happy with candidate Obama's "lipstick on a pig" shtick but that's by the by.

The point of his article was that, at long last, and after years of "grappling" the media, (i.e the leftist media) has finally been able to determine how they will describe Palin. Apparently she is now "an entertainer".

Her previous  descriptions ranged from "has been" to "forgotten" to  "Sarah who?" to "celebritician" (sic) "talking head" "pundit" "failed half-term governor" "failed pundit" last week she was "an activist". They have, in concert (someone must have sent out the Journolist memo) determined she is now an "entertainer".

Now that the left has constructed the latest box to fit Palin in, they as per Cillizza's concluding pomposity, have found  in their and their audiences minds, a way to dismiss Palin in the future. She can be safely ignored as a simple entertainer, a dispenser of red meat at functions with no real relevance or impact in politics. Case dismissed!

"For those still wondering whether Palin’s future lies in elected office or on the entertainment side of politics (and the culture at large), her CPAC speech made that answer crystal clear."

Where this whole construct falls apart is with the massive impact Palin has had on the election scene. She is, candidate by candidate, election by election, to offices national and local endorsing candidates who will carry out her vision for America.

Where was Cillizza when Ted Cruz-most unusually for a keynote speaker, humbly and honestly made an unannounced special introduction of Palin at CPAC with these words;

As you know, I am not the first or the only candidate to benefit from Governor Palin and SarahPAC's courageous support for conservatism. Senators Deb Fischer, Jeff Flake, Tim Scott, Marco Rubio, Kelly Ayotte, Rand Paul, and other common-sense conservatives are proof that Americans are ready to return to our nation's founding principles.

Palin has made it clear that her next major focus will be on repeating her success in the 2010 mid-terms by working hard to endorse and support candidates who share her vision. As Ted Cruz and the many others not detailed her can attest a Palin endorsement can take a candidate from obscurity (Cruz was at 5% support at one time to landslide victory.

What "entertainer" has that sort of support from the people Cillizza, and the rest of the leftist media obviously don't associate with but who help to win elections?

I would believe that Cillizza is not a fool and can see the power of Palin which is obvious with the Cruz example. Thus the only explanation for his, and the Journolists taking this latest iteration of describing palin is that they are doing everything they can to try and marginalise her so her influence in getting candidates from the right elected is blunted.

Well good luck with that-it hasn't worked for five years and won't work now no matter what term the Beltway media uses to describe Palin.

This quote from"American Thinker" shows the real picture unimpeded by leftist media shcemes and dreams

We shall see in November 2014 whether Palin is an "entertainer"or a major force in shaping the political landscape. I think the answer will be "crystal clear."
