How's That Doomy Gloomy Stuff Workin' For Ya? 2012 "The Worst Year In Human History"
It is no wonder President Obama is casting himself as the underdog for 2012 and preparing his campaign slogan as "At least I didn't make things any worse".
However that may be a tad optimistic on both scores. Charles Krauthammer predicts Obama will lose in a landslide, and this gentleman, Mr Toby Connor of the 'Gold Scents" financial site beats even the regular economic doom sayers at The Market Oracle site for sheer, Dante's pit of hell, doom and glooming, to whit;
As many of you know I expect next year to be one of the worst years in human history, at least economically speaking. Certainly on par with 1932 if not worse. This should drive one of the worst stock bear markets in history. Before this secular bear market expires we need to cleanse all of the excesses that were generated during the final bubble years leading up to the top in 2000.
You can read all of Mr.Connor's horror story, with its frightening charts and graphs at his SITE HERE.
These doom and gloom scenarios from today's Market Oracle are, individually, not as hair raising as Mr. Connor's, but taken as a group they support and amplify his case.
One almost wishes President Obama wins the next election and has to carry the can for the ensuing debacle. In that scenario it would mark the end of the liberals and pave the way for a true conservative administration uinburdened by blame for the econ0my and with a total free hand.
Allowing the restoration of economic balance, realism, small government, and low taxation thus letting the business cycle healing commence without intervention on the Keynsian scale.

Obama as LBJ-Street Protests Are Dem Disconnect To Party Activists
Once again the USA is witnessing mass street protests. Started by young activists, initially peaceful, with police intervention with aggression. If history is to repeat itself these protests, which originated in one location, this time Wall Street, will spread to other centers, then to the universities. Then Violence will erupt as the peaceful protesters are infiltrated by radicals.
That 2011 is not yet 1968, is because there has not been enough time to build up a head of steam. Further, the utter poverty which started the "Arab Spring" movements is not part of the American economic scene, 9.1% unemployment notwithstanding.
The other reason that the protest movement has taken a while to get under way is that, as under Johnson, there is a Democratic administration in power, and the left has been reluctant, apart from much moaning and groaning at such "progressive" sites as Daily Kos and Firedoglake, to suggest the radicals take to the streets.
That President Obama is the first Black president, and that he owes much of his election to the support of young progressives, and they have been reluctant, partly from embarrassment at having been taken for a ride, has also made the start of the protest movement somewhat tardy.
Even the most blind of Obama supporters in the progressive movement has now had the scales drop, and Obama stands revealed to them, as LBJ was in his time, as a centrist and not the epoch changer he was presented as.
Three things may happen. The protest movement may simply peter out, especially as the media seems not to want to give them the publicity that the 1960's movement received, and the economy may improve dramatically. In that scenario, President Obama will sail to an easy re-election from a grateful nation.
Or, the progressives may become so emboldened by their success, that it encourages a challenge to Obama from the left and he faces a Carter versus Kennedy scenario all the way to the convention. Such a split on the left will make Obama's re-election very difficult especially if the economy stays in the tank.
The third scenario is that the protest movement grows, and like in the 1960's/70's turns violent and middle America gets turned off by the spectacle. The possibility of a new "Reagan Democrat" will emerge and guarantee that, as in 1980 there is a tremendous electoral shift to the GOP in 2012. The Obama administration, abandoned by its left and right wings would suffer a Mondale like defeat.
Under this last scenario it would be ridiculous for the GOP to nominate a centrist like e.g. Romney or Perry. This would be the perfect time for a true rogue, i.e.Palin to take up the reins of office with an overwhelming mandate for social change.
If the Republicans did not nominate Palin, should she run, they will have made the same mistake the Democrats will have done and have not only abandoned their base support, but have lost the greatest opportunity for social change they will have had since 1860.
Palin Hit Job Film Grosses Paltry $7,374 Another Liberal Hate-Fest Disaster
The public have had enough of the Palin hate-fest which has stretched into its third year. Surely nothing further can be dredged up, made up, lied about in respect of Palin and her family.
This is one reason why Palin can, if she so chooses, enter the race in October as she is 100%-no make it 1000% vetted, and can go straight into the mechanics of getting on the state ballots and making her case directly to the voters without the distraction of "facts" about her coming out.
Here's what "indieWIRE" the movie website reported on the latest Palin hatchet job and its complete flop.
"Faring even worse Nick Broomfield and Joan Churchill’s doc “Sarah Palin: You Betcha!,” which grossed even less than “Margaret” despite being on 3 times the screens. “Betcha!” grossed $7,374, averaging a dismal $1,229. The film was releasing through Freestyle - a distribution company that releases films via service deals for the filmmakers.
Broomfield personally took to Kickstarter to raise $30,000 for the release of the film. Its unlikely the film will gross that amount, and it will certainly fall behind the $116,381 a much more pro-Palin doc, “The Undefeated,” grossed earlier this year."

Gunwalker: the botched sting operation lie - the spin continues
From:Contributing Editor Lisa Gilmer
The spin continues in the Gunwalker story. Late last Friday, Washington provided some documents requested by Issa, but not all documents. The spin for that one from CBS news: "The White House counsel who produced the documents stated that some records were not included because of "significant confidentiality interests."
The White House has said Gunwalker was just a sting operation which was botched. That is a lie.
A letter found "provides startling proof that the Federal government did not merely "lose track" of weapons purchased by "straw buyers" under surveillance by the ATF and destined for the Mexican drug cartels."
From Examiner, A Letter implicates ATF in committing straw purchases for Gunwalker: "According one source close to the Issa committee and knowledgeable of its workings, this revelation "puts a stake in the heart of the 'botched sting operation' lie." He continued,"There never was any 'sting,' there was only a deliberate effort to provide weapons to the DTO's (Drug Trafficking Organizations)." He added, "this was one hundred percent us -- our money, our guy, our (gun)walking."
This source also provided context and explanation of how the letter came to exist in the first place."
CBS also has ATF Manager says he shared Fast and Furious Info with White House: "At a lengthy hearing on ATF's controversial gunwalking operation today, a key ATF manager told Congress he discussed the case with a White House National Security staffer as early as September 2010. The communications were between ATF Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix office, Bill Newell, and White House National Security Director for North America Kevin O'Reilly. Newell said the two are longtime friends. The content of what Newell shared with O'Reilly is unclear and wasn't fully explored at the hearing.
It's the first time anyone has publicly stated that a White House official had any familiarity with ATF's operation Fast and Furious, which allowed thousands of weapons to fall into the hands of suspected traffickers for Mexican drug cartels in an attempt to gain intelligence. It's unknown as to whether O'Reilly shared information with anybody else at the White House."
Perhaps the "unknown" is in the WITHHELD DOCUMENTS!
Hey media, this story is no biggie, eh? Just that ATF Walked Guns Directly to Cartel Using Taxpayer Dollars from Pajamas and: "There was never any method to track the firearms provided to the cartels. The cartel leaders that were the alleged target of the investigation never would have been involved in such low-level work as weapons procurement, an allegation on par with claiming they can ensnare a Fortune 500 CEO for the purchase of toner for printers. And of course, the U.S. government does not have the authority to arrest suspects across an international border in Mexico. The justification for the operation is laughable even as a hastily trumped-up cover story. Those who were a part of the conspiracy felt they had political cover at the highest level of government, and didn’t believe they needed but the thinnest of veneers of a cover story for their actions, which have led to weapons being recovered at the scenes of over 200 murders in Mexico and to the shooting of three U.S. federal agents."
Kathleen Millar at Foreign Policy Association has smelled the spin for months and wants the media late comers to ask some questions like:
"Why were field agents running the op told by their supervisors NOT to interdict?
Why were they ordered by their supervisors to let the guns walk?
Because those were the orders given to their supervisors by their bosses. And the buck stops…where?"
Ms. Millar's excellent article points out "The challenge now, for the media, and certainly for Congress, is to address the real questions, to clarify the dangers inherent in Fast and Furious—especially the threat to the rule of law—and to step up to the possible consequences of a genuine, no-holds-barred investigation into a US government operation that triggered the provision of lethal weapons to criminal actors in Mexico. Weapons used to murder US citizens. We know how Fast and Furious worked. Now it’s time to ask ‘who’ and ‘why.’
Everyone has a dog in this fight. The press, the government, the White House, Congress, the House Oversight Committee. Republicans. Democrats. US gun dealers. The pro-gun lobby. The anti-gun contingent. US banks with big Mexican accounts. US corporations riding high with NAFTA. The government of Mexico. Mexico’s cartels."
Ms. Millar recommends "Find an upright, do-right US prosecutor (a Spanish-speaker) willing to leave a comfortable berth in the private sector to take a job he’s smart enough to know may end his career, and let that dog hunt."
Gateway Pundit found CNN actually asked Arizona Sheriff John Babeau some dangerously truthful questions and his answers implicated ATF, Eric Holder and Obama Justice Department as Accomplices to murder, but even if just a wee bit of truth leaks out here and there, stay tuned for more media spinning I fear... lots and lots and lots of spin.

Recession "Unavoidable." Conservatives Best Scenario Let Romney/Obama Own It & Elect Epoch Changer (Palin) In 2016?
Here's ECRI's Lakshman Acuthan with a doom and gloom forecast which he says is especially valid as they are not a chicken little firm and have a track record of calling it right.
For the more hysterical doom and gloom scenario The Market Oracle has an endless list of recent articles which range from the analytical to the BUY GOLD to the conspiratorial.
If they are correct and there is a double dip recession with headline unemployment in double figures (with real unemployment at 20%+ then whomever is elected in 2012 is going to inherit a crap sandwich. History shows that when this happens, whether conservatives like Hoover or socialists like the Weimar revolutionary government, the initial euphoria soon wears off and whomever is in power gets thrown out in a landslide in due course.
The sorrow and the pity for the Tea Party would be that, in a scenario where the economy is in such bad shape in November 2012, that even if a genuine conservative like Palin wins the nomination and election, the dynamics in congress will not have changed enough for a truly revolutionary conservative agenda to be implemented.
Enough of the old guard Beltway Republicans and progressive Democrats will have survived to ensure that a radical agenda would not get passed-plus the remaining leftist media would act as a blocking force as well. The end result would be, that apart from some palliative measures, the basic structure now in place would stay in place. It takes an earthquake for a paradigm shift to occur and the 2012 election is unlikely to move beyond the non-Palin candidates suggestions of addressing the economy with more of the same, especially from the Obama administration which has run out of ideas/options.
A Palin candidacy would give a much sharper focus on what needs to be done but, short of a massive Tea Party landslide, there would be little chance of effecting it. That is not to say of course that such an outcome would be infinitely preferable to the status quo as represented by Obama and Romney however. At the very least there would be an upsurge in spirits and a renewal of American values as represented by the main streams mores.
Failing the necessary congressional landslide that would be needed to accompany a true conservatives presidential victory, and the possibly of such a candidate owning an inherited economic mess which would tar them with the brush of failure even though it would not be their fault, it might be a better long term solution if the revolution came in 2016, accompanied by the landslide to effect it.
It would be a bitter pill for conservatives to have to wait out another four years, but the promise of total change would be worth it, and the campaign could start on February 2013.
It might just happen that in November 2012 the economy is in such bad shape that the electoral landslide might be large enough to give a president of courage, who can clearly state her platform of necessary change, no matter how bitter the pill is short term, to have so much of public opinion on her side that the program could be put in place.
Barring that, the passage of four years, during which the economy would continue its downwards slope under the present economic mechanism, may be enough time, with the right leader, to get everything in place for the next American revolution, which would be, in effect, a return to the spirit of the original one.
If Palin decides not to run in 2012, it may be the very best thing that could happen for the republic, as she could have the four years to prepare to the required healing and leading role in 2016. If she runs in,2012 everything would hinge on the amount of congressional support from like minded candidates that were elected with her.
