Palin's Endorsement"difference between getting to accept the nomination at next year's convention or just being third from the right on the stage"

Summoning Palin's Endorsement

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2011

As the GOP presidential candidates face ebbs and flows in their campaigns, there is no wonder Governor Palin's endorsement has been sought-after. Real Clear Politics has speculated where the Governor may place her support, but that remains to be seen. What is already quite clear is the candidates know the power the Governor holds. As the 2010 mid-terms elections revealed, her stamp of approval is able to positively influence a campaign, sparking both boots-on-the-ground support and finances. No doubt this is why immediately after announcing her decision not to seek the 2012 GOP nomination, a Palin endorsement was vehemently summoned.

Whomever she chooses to endorse for 2012, if anyone at all, will have a huge base of support from which to draw. While it is not likely that each of Governor Palin's supporters will back the person she backs, many of them are, in fact, waiting for her to say the word. They will then lend their support to that individual, for they believe her choice will be the most common sense choice for defeating President Obama, someone most in line with her values--values they share.

Mark Whittington writes:
The most sought-after endorsement of this political cycle will be from a woman who holds no political office and is not currently seeking one. That is why each of the Republican candidates have done the equivalent of kissing Sarah Palin's ring.

So how, according to Whittington, will the Governor reach such an important decision?
The criteria Palin will use to determine who to endorse will be who will be best for the country, in her judgment, and only secondarily who will be best for her own political fortunes. Palin has some definite ideas about how the United States should be governed, particularly in the suppression of honest graft in the congress and crony capitalism. Whomever is best suited to advance her agenda will get her endorsement.

And just what would a Governor Palin endorsement accomplish?
Palin's endorsement would take a struggling campaign and take it to the top tier. It would take a surging campaign and send it over the top. It could be the difference between getting to accept the nomination at next year's convention or just being third from the right on the stage during the unity demonstration.

Point Of View Fundraiser

It’s been a really long time (almost two years, I think) since I’ve done this.

A number of readers have been very generous over the years both in making one time donations and monthly subscriptions (starting at $5 per month) [Some people have had trouble with these links, if so, use the Donate buttons in the sidebar.].  (Note, donations are NOT tax deductible.)

If folks wish this blog to be more full time then the (financial) golden rule applies. If not then it will continue to be sporadic as it has been since Palin decided not to run, and with diversions into cute animals and page three girls (to keep The Other McCain interested). Or it, sadly, might end.

Either way is fine with me but hopefully my point of view has enough insight to warrant a broader range of topics and thus appeal to a broader range of people. Coming up to 150,000 page views indicates, I trust there is a market for what is presented here and, given the crucial year ahead, we all can create together what the masthead says.

Your donation means that together we'll build a strong authentic conservative voice."

HYDE PARK (CBS) — Low-income residents and seniors are lining up for free turkey dinners from a local car company.
As many as 10,000 people are expected to show up for the “23rd Annual Jackson Limousine Service Turkey Dinner Give-Away”, which started at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Sky2 was overhead Monday night as a line wrapped around the company’s service fleet yard at 3669 West Slauson Ave.
Yvette Freeman, one of the first people to pick up a meal Tuesday morning, waited in line for two days with a group of family and friends.
“It feels good. It feels really good,” says Freeman, who realized she couldn’t afford her own Thanksgiving dinner when she went to the grocery store last weekend.
“It’s a lot of people, a lot of families from all walks of life,” EJ Jackson, founder and president of Jackson Limousine, told CBS2. “You’ll see them. We love them, but that’s what we are here for; to help one another.”
Turkey and all the dinner fixings, including cornbread, yams and cranberry sauce, are being given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
“It is tough ’cause I was in need,” Lashonda Howard said. “I gotta get down here because this is my only hope.”

Coming Economic Collapse:Palin's Wisdom Not Running 2012 To Be 2016 Saviour

If this article "Beginning of  New Credit Crunch, Trouble Ahead for Global Economy"  at "Market Oracle" is even half correct in its economic analyses, then the points made will have a massive impact on the American political structure over the years ahead.

But let there be no doubt, the U.S. economy is going to get a lot worse in the years ahead.
Just because you have a job today does not mean that you will have one tomorrow.
Just because you have a nice car and a big home today does not mean that you will have them tomorrow.
We all need to try to become a lot less dependent on "the system", because "the system" is failing.
A whole lot of trouble is coming.
You better get ready.

The financial analysis which supports these conclusions is measured, not hysterical or histrionic, and is fact based and well worth reading and considering.

It is interesting to note that many of the experts quoted don't have a dog in the hunt, i.e. they are either not connected with making money from financial sales or, if they are connected with the retail side of the finance industry, they would be expected to be promoting the sunny optimistic aspects-which they clearly are not.

If the projected economic downturn happens at anywhere the level posited, then it could put in place a massive sea change in the American political scene. If the economy stays at the current level there is just enough activity, allied with the incumbents usual advantages, to see President Obama re-elected.

His margin of victory would depend on whom the GOP selects of course. If Romney, then Obama should have a comfortable win as conservatives stay at home, if Gingrich, it could be very close and similar to G.W. Bush's re-election margins against Kerry.

If before the 2012 election the economy turns down further, then whomever the GOP nominates will more than likely win. However, even in such an economic environment the margin would be close with Virginia/Colorado/Ohio/N. Carolina/Florida all having to return to the Republicans.

But whoever wins in 2012 will, according to the Market Oracle economic outlook, be faced with a disastrous financial environment. If Obama, the re-election good will  "honeymoon" would be one of the shortest ever seen.

If the Republican, the honeymoon would be longer but, as has been seen recently with elected governments in Europe, would end sooner or later. Then with the previous, and subsequent orthodox administrations being seen as failures, the public will be ready to look for alternatives.

There are two. The Keynesian, Krugman, money printing alternative is not included in this scenario as it will have been utterly discredited. The first realistic alternative is a new third party.

It is entirely possible that a populist with a large personal fortune, a Bloomberg or a Trump, could create a substantial third party, and there is a viable electoral college path to victory for such a creation.

The actual chance for such a party to win is, in reality, very low given the historic attachment many have to the two major groupings, and it would probably take at least two campaigns to achieve a majority.

The second, and more realistic alternative, is for a populist, who already has a substantial measure of public support, and who has managed successfully in an administrative framework, to lead the GOP into the 2016 election.

It would not matter if there was a Republican president elected in 2012, as by 2016 they would be discredited, and either would not run in 2016 or would be defeated in the convention for re-nomination. The party would, sensibly, realize that a re-nomination would lead to a disastrous electoral result.

With a massive recession, the Democrat's discredited, a Republican president in a similar situation, the public would be ready to embrace a true conservative with proven experience. The wisdom of Palin not running in 2012, but being the new Cincinattus (or Washington or de Gaulle) in 2016 with be apparent to all.

Sickest Anti-Palin Site Creates A Blood Splattered Tableau Of Palin Scene For "Thanksgiving"

As I predicted would happen (read the post and see the mad tableau's at (THIS LINK) the mad/bad Palin Derangement Syndrome  (PDS) site (linked at) "The Perils of Palins" (sic)   has created, all in plastic, a horror house butchery scene with Sarah Palin and assorted, blood spattered turkey's.

This in celebration of a wonderful family holiday when the very best of America should be lauded not the creations of  a mind so weird as to spend "weeks" dreaming up and instituting such madness.

Here are just two of  the many scenes which must come from a mind in Dante's 7th circle of hell.

There have been some comments on my original post by people actually defending this odd person (as well as stout rebuttals from sane people) but, as I suggested in my first post on this bizarre person, the analysis lies in the field of psychiatry and
Krafft-Webbing.
