American society was irrevocably destroyed by Lee Harvey Oswald, McGeorge Bundy (playing exactly the same role as Dick Cheney) and his Vietnam puppet Lyndon B. Johnson.
Woodward and Bernstein accelerated the decline taking a minor scandal and making it a further sledgehammer to the American psyche.
Ronald Reagan brought a brief hiatus with his destruction of communism. Another, similar Republican sweep would also be a hiatus.
And yes, the 2020 election was "stolen" proving the forces unleashed in 1963 are undefeatable.
Time just released a fascinating in-depth story of how Democrats, liberal activist groups, media, social media and, shockingly, corporate America all partnered in one big conspiracy to prevent Donald Trump's reelection. Time admitted it was a "conspiracy." It admitted it was an "alliance between left-wing activists and business titans."
The detailed Time story reads like a confession of a stolen election. It admitted the game plan: This conspiracy was based on taking advantage of COVID-19, mail-in voting, last-minute changes in voting laws, gobs of corporate money backing the effort, and collusion by media and social media to silence any dissent.
All that is left is ones individual conscience based on faith and family and voting to ameliorate, as much as is possible, the destructive forces.
After a lifetime of activism and, hopefully a mature totally realistic outlook, I sum up politics and society briefly and imo indisputably. All else is amelioration, and even that is marginal if Texas ever goes blue or Trump's cracking of the "blue wall" in 2016 was an aberration, against an unstoppable coalition of forces.
