McCain Praises Gingrich's "Awesome" Debate Performance;If Santorum Wins Iowa These Two Things May Stop Romney.

Robert Stacy McCain, the highly respected commentator at "The Other McCain" site did a running commentary on the latest GOP candidates debate in his own inimitable style (Hunter Thompson would be very proud). AT THIS LINK

It is fair to say that McCain is a strong Santorum supporter but, being the fair minded journalist he is McCain recognized, as did the comments section folks, that Newt did extremely well. You can see, a must see, a classic response by Newt to a Juan Williams bringing the race issue question AT THIS LINK.

It just may be that, once again, Newt has brought his campaign back to life in the nick of time by his outstanding debate skills which won him a standing ovation. If as seems possible, Santorum wins Iowa the two aspects of the Non_Romney rise in the last moments of the South Carolina campaign may just be the game changer that blunts Romney's momentum.

Here are a couple of McCain bon mot's regarding Newt's performance;

UPDATE: 9:36 p.m. ET: Rick Santorum is asked about unemployment benefits, and gives a good answer. Newt Gingrich gets a similar question and gives an awesome answer.

UPDATE: 9:55 p.m. ET: Two guys in front of me, who are in here on media passes, aren’t writing a damned thing. They’re on Tweetdeck, however, chewing up bandwidth that I’d like to use to liveblog. Because they’re racist or something.
Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich is getting cheered for talking back to Juan Williams. Newt is pretty damned awesome in debates. Commercial break.
